On spectral analogues of strong multiplicity one theorem

We prove various spectral analogues of the classical strong multiplicity one theorem in the context of compact locally symmetric Riemannian manifolds. We also prove an analogue of the strong multiplicity one theorem for the length spectrum for even dimensional compact hyperbolic spaces. This is a joint work with Prof. C.S. Rajan.
