In this talk I will review the map between asymptocally anti de Sitter
gravity and hydrodynamics. I will then explore the constraints on the
equations of hydrodynamics and superfluid hydrodynamics from the requirement of compatibility of these equations with a positive divergence entropy current and speculate on possible implications of the hydrodynamical constraints for the derivative expansion of gravity.
