Description
It is now confirmed by different cosmological observations that our
current Universe is going through an accelerated expanding phase.
Explaining this late time acceleration is a challenge to
cosmologists. In this talk I shall review the different approaches to
explaining this late time acceleration, with particular emphasis on
scalar field models. I shall also talk on the possibilities of
distinguishing between different dark energy models with available
observational data.
