Description
Monte Carlo methods for quantum field theories containing
fermions are known to be notoriously difficult. The outstanding
obstacle is the "Sign Problem" which encodes the inherent quantum
nature of fermions. Many interesting quantum field theories have
remained unsolved due to these sign problems. New ideas to tackle
sign problems have emerged recently. I will review the progress
made in recent years and discuss new solutions to "some" outstanding
sign problems in Four-fermion and Yukawa models.
