Description
I will talk about the free cooling of wet granular gases starting from a homogeneous initial configuration. Wet granular gases are distinguished from the dry or sticky ones by the formation of a capillary bridge between two colliding spheres which takes a finite amount of energy to break. The two papers referenced below study the decay of the average kinetic energy and formation of clusters in 1D and 3D respectively by molecular dynamics simulations and mean field equations.
