Description
In the last years the generalized
`Ramanujan Conjecture' proved for modular forms by Eichler, Shimura and
Deligne has been extended to higher rank
automorphic forms on GL(n). I will sketch the proof, starting
from `classical' case and introducing on the way
several (deep) intermediate results due to many people.
The lectures will be of 2 hours duration with a small break in-between.
