We explore the thermodynamics of black hole-like classical solutions
in SL(3, R) Chern-Simons theory. We find multiple branches of
solutions: a stable (BTZ-like) branch, an unstable one and a new
stable branch. We address certain puzzles in the context of these
solutions.
