Rephasing invariant parametrization of flavor mixing

The purpose of the talk is to introduce a new rephasing invariant parametrization for the 3x3 CKM matrix and discuss the properties and applications of the parametrization. The overall phase condition leads this parametrization to have only six rephasing invariant parameters and two constraints. Especially its simplicity and regularity become apparently interesting when it is applied to the one-loop renormalization group equations for the Yukawa couplings. The implications of this parametrization for unification of the Yukawa couplings are also considered.
