Can we predict sunspot cycles?

The 11-year sunspot cycle is produced by a plasma process known as the dynamo process taking place in the interior of the Sun. After giving a an introduction to solar dynamo theory, I shall discuss whether our understanding of the sunspot cycle is complete enough for us to predict the strength of a cycle before its onset.
