Description
Strongly interacting systems present a formidable challenge for theoretical physicists as they are not amenable to conventional perturbative analysis. Mysteriously, in certain special cases, new weakly coupled behavior emerges in terms of "topological" particles. Electric magnetic duality is one such example. Discovering the geometry behind such dualities has led to the understanding of strong coupling and to the discovery of new dualities themselves!
