In a recent book with this title, I consider some overarching ideas and patterns that occur throughout physics, from classical to quantum and over various sub-areas of the subject. These ideas connect to those outside of physics so that non-physicists can also access some of their realizations, including sophisticated ones, in physics. I will discuss some of these topics such as : adding dimensions, states and transformations, stability at saddles, symmetry and its breaking, and the role of time.
