Description
Relativistic hydrodynamics has been applied quite successfully to
describe the space-time evolution of the quark-gluon plasma formed
in high-energy heavy ion collisions. In this talk, I will present
some recent developments on the formulation of a causal theory of
relativistic dissipative hydrodynamics from kinetic theory. In
particular, I will focus on the derivation of higher-order transport
coefficients and their effects on the evolution of a hot and dense
medium.
