QCD Jets and Factorisations in Effective Field Theories

I will give a brief overview of jets observed at hadron colliders and various observables to measure them. I will show that calculation of jet observable in perturbative QCD suffers from large logarithms threatening the convergence of perturbation series. In this regard I will discuss effective field theory approach to resummation of logarithms by employing renormalisation group equations.
