Description
The free energy density, or pressure, of Quantum Chromodynamics, as a function of temperature and baryon chemical potential, is of principal relevance to cosmology, neutron star phenomenology, as well as heavy ion collision experiments. Its study has a long history of more than three decades. In this talk I summarise the current understanding regarding very high temperatures, and discuss some of the physics implications that this understanding may lead to.
