Description
The BRITE satellite constellation consists of 6 (5 functioning) microsatellites recently launched by Austria, Canada and Poland to observe bright variable stars which have not been well-studied in recent decades. I will present an overview of the BRITE project and capabilities, the program of concurrent ground-based observations including those at the Pedagogical University Observatory on Mt. Suhora, and some of the results which were described at the recent BRITE conference in Austria.
