Abstract:
To begin with, Institute's plan for disaster mitigation, preparedness,
response and recovery will be outlined. Its plans for maintaining mission
critical operations during and after any emergency or incident will be
described. This will be followed by a brief mention of structure and
functioning of DAE's Crisis Management Group, envisaged to ensure prompt
and effective flow of information during disastrous situations. Finally,
disaster management machinery of Mumbai City will be highlighted.
About the Speakers:
Mr.B.B.Joshi did his B.Sc. in Aeronautics and B.E. in Mechanical
Engineering. Mr.R.K.Mishra did his B.E. (Hons.) in Mechanical Engineering
and further graduated from 34th Batch of BARC Training School at Trombay,
Mumbai. Mr.M.L.Narvekar did his B.Sc. from Mumbai University and Post-
Graduation in Disaster Management.
