Description
Abstract
I will survey some classical and some more modern results in the theory of
right-angled Artin groups and their subgroups, as these have been of
central importance in geometric group theory and hyperbolic geometry in
recent years. I will concentrate on hyperbolic subgroups and on
right-angled Artin subgroups of other right-angled Artin groups, following
the work of Droms, Servatius, Wise, Agol, Casals-Ruiz, Kazachkov, Kim,
Clay, Leininger, Mangahas, and others.
