to iron based superconductors. I will describe various models of disorder and theoretical methods for including their effect on physical properties like penetration depth or thermal conductivity. These models are based on microscopic calculations with a spin-fluctuation pairing mechanism. I'll show how disorder can be used to extract information about the gap function from the experimental data.
