We reformulate the question of consistency of a CFT using constraints on an alternative set of conformal data. These data consist of set of n-point functions of a specific scalar operator. Using this formulation we show that the set of (not necessarily unitary) CFTs with an abelian symmetry forms a vector space over complex numbers.
