EFT at finite temperature

Description
This is a two day focused workshop on the use of effective field theory techniques for understanding the properties of hot QCD matter. One development we plan to discuss is the ongoing progress towards putting models of chiral symmetry breaking on a firmer footing by treating their proper extensions as EFTs. This approach seems to be promising for the description of the chiral crossover. Extending these theories to include a finite chemical potential is of current interest because of the current theory and experimental effort to pin down the critical point of QCD. EFT techniques are also useful to understand QCD at temperatures well above the chiral crossover temperature and we plan to discuss recent developments in this direction.
