Abstract:
In this expository lecture we concisely introduce
spin manifolds and investigate their appearance in
the literature along with their connections to other
branches of mathematics. Then very briefly explain
the general idea of a symmetric space obtained from
a split Kac-Moody group and how one can develop spin
geometry in this context.
