Definitive obsrvations of solar oscillations in 1975 confirmed the nature of solar oscillations, which marked the beginning of helioseismology. Helioseismology has revolutionised the study of solar interior during the last three decades and TIFR group has been involved in these studies from the beginning.Some of these efforts concerning the solar structure and dynamics will be described.
