Currently, the LHC has started for the year 2025 and continuing Run 3 of data collection. Electromagnetic Calorimeter (ECAL) is a hermetic, homogeneous calorimeter in the CMS detector, which is undergoing an extensive Phase-2 upgrade program to prepare for demanding conditions of the high-luminosity LHC (HL-LHC). The entire readout and trigger electronics will need to be replaced to cope with the harsh conditions and increased trigger latency requirements at the HL-LHC. Being the convenor of the Prompt Feedback Group in ECAL, I am closely involved in the data taking activities and data quality checks of the ECAL detector in CMS.
I am also involved in setting up of a threshold Cherenkov detector at TIFR. The primary goal is to determine the shape of the cosmic ray muon energy distribution, which is achieved by analyzing the integral intensity data collected at various pressures.
