Statistical physics has long been an integral part of research at TIFR, shaping both national and international developments in the field. In recent years, the discipline has broadened its scope to include frontier areas in equilibrium and non-equilibrium systems, with increasing relevance to living systems, quantum matter, and artificial intelligence. Reflecting this global evolution, the statistical physics groups at TIFR have diversified and strengthened their research activities, creating a dynamic and interdisciplinary ecosystem. This diversity is a unique strength, and to fully harness it, fostering dialogue and collaboration across groups is essential.

This conference aims to bring together researchers from across TIFR centers working within the broad theme of statistical physics. Our goal is to create an interactive platform that encourages cross-disciplinary exchange, collaboration, and synergy. Special emphasis will be placed on extended discussion sessions and on providing a supportive environment for early-career researchers to share ideas and build connections.
