Constraining the Nature of Dark Matter and Reionization with the Lyman-Alpha Forest

The Lyman-alpha Forest is a sensitive probe of the properties of dark matter affecting the clustering of matter at small scales as well as the ionization and thermal history of the Intergalactic Medium. I describe the status of disentangling these effects and will give an overview on timing reionization  with Lyman-alpha in emission and absorption.
