DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Shivani Lomte\n\nAstrophysical observations provide
strong evidence for the existence of dark matter. Many beyond the standard
model theories predict the existence of dark matter particle candidates t
hat can be produced and detected at high energy colliders\, driving experi
mental searches at the CERN Large Hadron Collider. After the discovery of
the standard model Higgs boson\, we can probe the dark sector using this h
andle. In this talk\, I will present a search for dark matter produced in
association with the standard model Higgs boson using data collected by th
e CMS experiment at LHC. Higgs decay to a bottom quark-antiquark pair is r
econstructed to identify events of interest. The analysis is performed in
exclusive categories targeting both Lorentz-boosted (merged) and resolved
b-pair topologies\, covering a wide range of Higgs boson transverse moment
um. Constraints are placed on dark matter models predicting new particles
or interactions\, such as those in the simplified frameworks of baryonic-Z
' and 2HDM+a. In the second part of the talk\, I will talk about the muon
collider\, a proposed collider post High Luminosity LHC which offers great
potential for high energy physics research.\n\nhttps://scitalks.tifr.res.
