Description
Wide Band Spectral and Timing Studies of Cosmic X-ray Sources
January 10-13, 2017 at TIFR-Mumbai, India
Wide band X-ray spectral and timing study of Cosmic X-ray sources has seen a tremendous boost in recent times due to the extension of focusing techniques to hard X-rays in NuSTAR and and the launch of Astrosat with a suite of instruments covering a wide X-ray range and also having a large area timing instrument. This conference aims to bring together experts in this field and have an in-depth discussion on several of the emerging research topics like:
Measuring the fundamental parameters of stellar mass black holes like mass and spin using X-ray spectral and timing studies.
Time resolved X-ray spectral study of pulsars (accreting as well as rotation powered pulsars).
Cyclotron resonance features in accreting neutron stars.
Accommodation (in the block booked hotels) need to be confirmed before Oct 31, 2016.
